we will play wonderful games

2019
Performance / Installation
at Stadtdenken Atelier

The installation is a playfully activated grid structure made of silver cubes, subverting the idea of the grid as a homogenous utilization of territory and as tool of control and measurement.
During the performance event visitors and the performers move in between the cubes, creating new structures along the lines of (possible) communications. The cubes are fragile and light, can be destroyed or played with. They can be building blocks too - light elements to create new configurations, unfolding a set of possibilities. To move inside the room becomes a conscious activity - the rigid patterns of the grid are eliminated and the body becomes a tool of creating new assemblages.

The limitations of the space are challenged.
The performers move between the cubes.
They are thinking about utopia.
Or maybe they come straight from utopia.
They are there to share their experiences.
